In 2018, Tucson personal injury law firm Grabb & Durando faced a significant challenge. The legal landscape was undergoing a dramatic shift as several large Phoenix-based law firms expanded into the market. Grabb & Durando’s marketing efforts were yielding diminishing returns, and they needed a creative solution to stand without drastically increasing their advertising spend. The goal was to increase client intakes and maintain a strong presence in the face of fierce competition.

Solution

Amped, recognizing the need for a bold and memorable approach and set out to develop a groundbreaking marketing campaign. The centerpiece of this campaign was a commercial featuring none other than UFC legend Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell. The concept behind the campaign was simple yet powerful: when you're facing a legal battle, you need someone in your corner who will fight for you. Chuck Liddell, with his reputation as a fierce and relentless competitor, embodied this ideal perfectly.

Result

The campaign proved to be a resounding success. The combination of Liddell's star power and the compelling message resonated strongly with Grabb & Durando's target demographic. Within six months of the campaign's launch, the firm saw a remarkable 70% increase in client intakes. This impressive growth wasn't a short-term spike; it remained consistent throughout the two-year duration of the campaign.

Challenge

In 2016 Pools By Design (PBD) was unhappy with their current marketing agency and decided to hire someone new. Their goal was to find a long-term marketing partner who could deliver consistent results and help them achieve sustained market growth. Amped was one of the agencies interviewed, but they did not get the job. Over the two years that followed, PBD hired and fired 4 agencies. In 2018 the revisited the possibility of hiring Amped. A deal was inked and as they say, the rest is history.

Pools By Design's annual revenue experienced exponential growth, increasing from $3 million per year to an impressive $22 million annually. The company's success enabled them to acquire two competitors, expanding their service areas and solidifying their position as a market leader. The collaboration between Amped and Pools By Design continues to this day, which is a very clear testament to the success and value of the partnership.
